Name: Thranduil Oropherion
Characteristics: hair is pale blonde with vivid blue eyes. He is tall and muscular, a body made for warfare, on the battlefield and in the bedroom. He is a king, regal and charismatic, but very passionate. He lives to upset expectations and can be a bit wild. His years in the placidity of Aman heightened that desire for adventure.
Family: Son to Oropher and father of Legolas, Thranduil was still a young elf, barely past his majority when his father took the family and a large band of followers east from Lindon. And there, in Greenwood the Great, he found his home, himself, and the people he would grow to love fiercely, defending them at all costs.
He did not have a good relationship with Oropher and worked hard to be a better parent to Legolas than Oropher had been. It was for Legolas' sake that Thranduil left Middle-earth. A move that never sat easy on his shoulders, especially once Legolas' mother was released from the Halls. They had not been bound, but Thranduil had loved her. She no longer reciprocated those feelings and to keep Legolas from being torn between them, Thranduil kept to himself, a state of being foreign to the gregarious king.
When the straight road re-opened, he was eager to return to Middle-earth, but was surprised at the state of the lands they encountered when they disembarked.
It took time to learn his way in this greatly changed world of men, but Thranduil learned quickly and soon grew addicted to the adrenaline rush of fast cars, fast sex, and fast money, gained with his knack at cards.
